The client has an extended family. Take in into consideration, the designer has specially set up multiple living and resting spaces in the house to facilitate family members to have an independent resting and hospitality environment.
Each bedroom is designed with the user’s tastes and lifestyles. The grandparents’ master bedroom boldly uses blue inlaid gold borders to express the unassuming sense of luxury; the older brother with an artist personality tends to have a calm and introverted yuppie style; the older sister’s room is simple and low-key, but the dressing room is gorgeous, with obvious contrast.
At the same time, the younger sister has a distinct personality and likes objects with a strong sense of design, so the designer especially chooses black metal material to create a unique style; the design of the kid’s room is absolutely cute and playful, and the room has used a large number of rounded corners to decrease the possibility of injury, this thoughtful design allows children to play freely in the room.
To reach the goal of sustainable development, the designer considers microclimate to design the outdoor landscape.
The warm wind from the south side blows to the forecourt, the pool and taller plants planted here are to reconcile the hot air. The hot air will be cool down after passing through the evapotranspiration of plants and the water cycle. This design can reduce the frequency of turning on the air-conditioning indoor.
The cold north wind blowing in the back of the house, and a pond full of natural vitality is specially created, it bringing vitality through the operation of the ecosystem.
This project is concentrated on the outdoor landscape and connects the main conception of microclimate with the interior design. The designer has considered the wind direction to improve the air circulation of the house.
The entrance of the gate is artificially chiseled with the texture of the rock cracks, and the cleft that extends to the building is grown with succulent and aquatic plants. This landscape represents the power and the endlessness of nature.
The forecourt and the courtyard are designed in the direction of sunrise and sunset. To follow the ecosystem and the microclimate conception, the designer creates a pool and pond at the forecourt and the courtyard to generate air circulation and energy changes. This design not only can reach the goal of ecology but also can reconcile the room temperature and space atmosphere.
The design of the pond is focusing on regenerate natural vitality. The designer builds a pond with various natural materials such as soil and rocks to create an environment for animals and insects to live. At the same time, the designer plant diversified plants according to different water depths and sunlight to achieve the ecological balance of animals and plants in the pool naturally and sustainably. It is far from landscaping, but a balance of human activities and nature.
The entrance design is the most challenging part of the whole project. To create a visual and tactile effect like a natural mountain wall, the rock is selected to be spliced on the wall and artificially cut a horizontal vein like a natural crack.
First, the rock is extremely heavy and not easy to obtain. Second, it is difficult to splice and fix large pieces of stone to the wall. The designer has to reinforce the wall with a crossed steel structure, then the rock is hung on the wall by a crane so that the overall design is stably presented.
This project is an L-shaped square building with about 1322 square meters of indoor. The designer needs to plan multiple public spaces with different functions and a total of five-bedroom in the five-story building for all family members. The public spaces must meet the needs and aesthetics of different ages of family members at the same time. For the private sector, its design is based on personal taste and lifestyles to create a good quality house suitable for a large family to live together.
The landscape planning for outdoor is blended with nature. Sunlight, fresh air, plants, and water create a tiny ecosystem. The pool and pond represent the microclimate conception. These two designs embellish the client’s life and bring a feeling of nature.
A home is not only a place for living but also a symbol of working hard for many years and a warm space with families’ company to the client. To satisfied all the client’s family members in different ages, the design has a inclusiveness sense of beauty.
The outdoor is built into a natural-style ecological garden, with different varieties and heights of plants to create a special perception. The arc-shaped wooden steps emphasize the sense of simple lines and soften the rigidity of the building. The lighting is embedded under the wooden steps, which has both practical and decorative functions. In addition to improving safety during walking, it also adds a different atmosphere to the night view.
Each floor has a semi-open space, the designer places various plants there to create a natural decoration. The client can relax with greenery and sunshine.
The main conception of public domain design is simple and low-key. The main wall of the living room is made of marble with a golden luster, which is matched with fashionable bronze and gold lines. This design presents a unique sense of luxury vaguely.
